The Mission of TDN's Project
Makeover
To
offer a safe space full of
resources and options to help
encourage, stimulate and
challenge youth in and around
the World. We have a mission to
create opportunities for youth
and adults to have a platform to
share, inspire and receive
support for obstacles they face
in life. Project Makeover plans
to be the big shoulders when a
child or an adult needs someone
to lean on releasing fears of
poverty, racism, drugs and
violence while holding the hands
of the community every step of
the way.
Support
Project
Makeover,
planting
seeds
for
our
youth
is an
after
school
program
for
youth
to
come
and do
homework,
experience
peer
workshops,
safe
haven
in a
home
away
from
home
atmosphere
for
city
children
to
come
without
having
to
fall
prey
of the
temptations
that
occur
when
there
is too
much
idle
time
on
their
hands.
Geared
towards
helping
African
American,
Caucasian
and
Mexican
youth,
Project
Makeover
has
opened
its
doors

Future
Although
youth
is the
primary
focus
of the
mission.
Project
Makeover
is
also a
talent
resource
to
help
struggling
adults
cope
with
financial
risks,
employment
opportunities
and
housing
plans.
Adults
can
come
and
get
help
balancing
their
budgets,
tax
advice,
home
owners
and
rental
information
along
with
career
fairs
geared
towards
all
educational
backgrounds.
We
feel
that
education
does
not
start
at age
13 and
does
not
end at
18. We
are
open
to
assisting
children
as
early
as 6
years
old
and
there
is no
cap
age
cut
off.
